Raisely Data Integration
Charity Toolkit has built an integration between Raisely and Donorfy. It automatically syncs donor and donation data from all of your Raisely campaigns in real time, to keep your CRM system up to date.
Works with
Subscribe to Charity Toolkit's Raisely integration and enrol your target campaign forms to pull donation and donor across to your CRM system in real time. You'll never need to run manual CSV exports and imports again.
Once your subscription is set up the Charity Toolkit team will build out a branch of the integration for you. If needed, a member of the team will get in touch to finalise your branch customisations and will guide you on how to setup the connection on the Raisely side. From there, the integration runs immediately.
CRM Contacts
The integration identifies existing contacts in your CRM system database, or creates new ones if no match is found.
If any communication preference data is recorded as part of the branch customisation process, records in the CRM system will be added or updated to reflect them.
Transactions
Donations can be synced across both one-off payments or recurring gifts.
Ticket sales can also be taken in by the integration and get mapped separately from donations for your reporting needs.
Customisations
Whilst the integration is ready to go out of the box, it is possible to adapt some aspects of how it works. Dedicated custom field mappings are available too, meaning you can override core mappings on a per-campaign basis.
Beyond that, we are open to bespoke customisation requests – get in touch and we may be able to help.
REPORTING AND LOGS
Data entering your CRM system is clearly labelled with Raisely identifiers so you can isolate the integration's activity in your reporting, or reference it for the complete fundraising picture.
We also share logs with your CRM system in the event that a donation transmission failed, was incomplete, or otherwise needs your attention.
The Charity Toolkit Raisely integration runs on every submission received from the forms you've enrolled. There is no cap on the volume of forms you enrol or the submissions they transmit - so long as your subscription is active the integration is always on.
Subscription includes transmission of all donations, support and troubleshooting and automatic rollout of updates and new features.
Please note, Charity Toolkit does not collect fees per transaction it processes, nor does it present tipping or self-interested donation mechanics to your users. The monthly operational subscription is all we charge.

Third party platforms and services associated with this product will likely themselves charge you for their use - always check their terms.
This integration can only connect the necessary systems with authorisation established through their respective API configurations. The credentials (and some customisation settings where applicable) needed to do this need to be shared with us so we can properly associate the integration with your Charity Toolkit account
If you don’t have these details available at the point of registration a member of the Charity Toolkit team will be in touch shortly after your registration to guide you on obtaining them.
Raisely does not support the collection of communication preferences, and so we have nothing to map to your CRM system natively. However, as part of the branch customisation process, we can guide you on configuring custom fields and corresponding dedicated mappings to get your Raisely forms taking in such data.
When a donation is processed by the integration, it will create a Constituent record for the user and, depending what Donorfy-enabled fields are included in your form, will:
- Add a Transaction to their timeline for a donation made.
- Add a Transaction to their timeline for a purchase made.
- Add an Activity to their timeline.
- Add a Gift Aid Declaration to their timeline.
- Opt in or out of communication Channels.
If the data in a processed donation finds existing record matches in your CRM system, the integration will use these rather than create a new record, and will update Profile fields as well as well opt-ins to communication Channels.
If the data in a processed donation does not find existing record matches in your CRM system, the integration will create a new record. The matching process compares First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Postal Address and Phone Number; if there are too many variations between these fields as they appear in the donation data and the CRM system data no match will be found and a new record will be made.
The integration product is robust and centralised for all our customers. Unique mappings and configurations are available for customising how the data appears in your CRM system, but how the integration works is largely fixed in place. It is always worth asking for special requests though, as we have been able to entertain some in the past.
No. Since the integration operates in real-time submissions made to a form prior to its enrolment to the integration won't be available for syncing.
No. Since the integration operates in real-time submissions made to a form that weren't synced are no longer eligible for syncing through the integration. Raisely does not offer a means to extract data retrospectively through automation.
On occasion, CRM systems experience blips which mean our integration can't reach them, or our integration is interrupted. Raisely has an auto-retry protocol in place which is usually effective, but even so, it is possible that data transmission can't be completed.
If data transmission was partially successful, here are some things to consider:
- If the reason for the failure was poor identity data, the integration will endeavour to assign the donation to a Raisely-orientated anonymous record in your CRM, and will append to their timeline an Activity breaking down the data handled and the cause of the fault.
- If the reason for the failure was poor transaction data, the integration will endeavour to append to the timeline of a Raisely-orientated anonymous record in your CRM an Activity breaking down the data handled and the cause of the fault.
- If you are using custom field mappings, double-check what you have configured for the effected fields. These mappings have to match verbatim, including any empty spaces at the beginning or start of the mapping in Donorfy you may not realise are there.
Conversely, for every successful donation, an Activity breaking down the data handled is also added to the donor’s record for your reference.
Charity Toolkit's Raisely integration stores none of the data collected from Raisely, bar transaction ID numbers. We keep these numbers for operational purposes, debugging and our own deduplication. No identity data from your users is stored.
